I DREAM OF MANY THINGS...
but none is stronger than the longing for You!
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

A farewell to Xanga...

So, I must say that I have more or less neglected this area of things.  So I think the time has come and gone to say farewell.  To all my Xanga friends, if you happen to use Facebook at all you can find me alive and well there ;)

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=759770331

Also, if you have tried to e-mail me in the past couple months and haven't gotten a reply ... most likely it is because I stopped using several of my e-mail addresses.  Add me as a friend on Facebook or comment on this post with your e-mail and I'll send you my new one.  I'm not ignoring you, honest!

Well ... farewell Xanga ... it's been fun but I can't say that I'll miss you much!  I hope to see some of my Xanga friends on Facebook!

Thank God for iTunes ... I mean seriously, what did we do without it?

Take for instance the CD I am listening to at the moment.  Only four songs on the entire CD are worth listening to at all.  However, these four songs are REALLY good!  If you listened to them, you might want to listen to the rest of the CD ... please don't ... take my word for it.

I remember back before iTunes if I liked a song I had to buy the entire CD ... doesn't matter if I liked any of the other songs ... I had to buy them all.  Yeah, iTunes is just one more thing that makes this world easier.

So, I would definitely recommend listening to (just) these four song's from Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons":

Savin' Me - great message ... a cry out for a Saviour
  + must see the music video for this one
Far Away - awesome love song
If Everyone Cared - if sin had never entered the world
Photograph - not really any kind of message ... just a good song ... lol

That's all for now.

Wow, it has really been forever since I updated this thing.  I've been so incredibly busy it feels as though I haven't had much of a free moment to do anything.  I have the day off tomorrow so I am taking the time to get caught up on some things I have neglected ... and I guess this qualifies.

So, what is new with me ...

Still working full time at my church as an intern and I am absolutely loving it.  I am working hard with people I enjoy being around and all of whom are incredibly creative and talented people.  For the past 7 years I have been working for myself and running my business and I never would have thought that I would want to work for someone else.  Now, I can't imagine not pouring the rest of my life into this.

It's ironic really.  When I was young, one of my biggest struggles was the possibility of being called by God to go minister to a bunch of cannibalistic natives in some far off jungle.  Add to that the fact that the church I grew up in made you feel somewhat guilty if you weren't actively pursuing some sort of avangelization and would constantly throw the "Go into all the world" verse at you.  Now, I am not only doing what I love and have been gifted with ability ... but I am doing it for a church ... lol

It looks like I may be moving out in the next couple months.  This is kind of exciting for me, but at the same time I can't believe I am already to that point.  Where did time go?  I look at my sister who is going to be 18 in a couple of short months and I'm like ... WHAT!  How can she be 18 already?  lol  It's crazy when you look back and see how far life has come.

Well I am trying to think of what else I can put down here.  I guess not all that much is new with me.  Just work work work ... lol  Not time for much else lately.

I'm trying out the whole Facebook crowd.  Just signed up and not much else so if you want to add me to your friends here is my profile address: http://www.facebook.com/p/Albert_Martin/759770331

Hope life is good for everyone!  I'd love to hear from you guys!

Just wanted to give a quick shout out ... this album absolutely ROCKS! Okay, maybe rocks is the wrong word ... but seriously, if you haven't listened to this album GET IT and turn the volume all the way up. Uplifting, encouraging and inspiring. I have always been a Josh Groban fan ... this is his best album yet!

Not much to report ... but something really fun happened today. Our local Office Depot is moving to a new location and are having their closeout sales. I went in there today to take a look around and walked out with about $200 worth of sharpies, pens, drawing pads, etc for $5!!!! The manager was throwing stuff at me ... "You want an electric pencil sharpener?" ... "Um, maybe." ... "A dime." ... "Sure!" It was pretty awesome.

Now that experience pales in comparison to a friend of mine. He went there last night and they weren't throwing pencil sharpeners at him ... they were throwing brand new copy machines and printers! He walked out with 4 or 5 brand new printers for $20 a piece ... a couple were originally sold for $400! Oh my gosh ... that is so awesome!

Okay ... forgive my giddiness ... yeah, it's silly to be this excited over sharpies ... but hey, let me have my moment

I'll leave you with one final thought: If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.
